Aims :

encourage the contact with Nature in young people
(4 years and older), through the production of
hydroponic
vegetables and flowers, within the school and to participate
in the evolution of the same.
To
introduce the young minds to the analysis and critical
thinking processes regarding the elements of Nature and the
assimilation of that knowledge.
The
importance of fruits and vegetables for their nutrition
and for the human health.
To
foster the relationship of the children and their families
with the School.
It is
necessary to put these projects into practise through State Organisms related to
Education, private educational institutions, etc.
AQUA
FOOD
provides the following services in this area:
Design
of an orchard in the School and of a training plan
adapted to the ages of the students.
Design
of a training plan.
Implementation
(training and
follow-up)
Evaluation.
Advantages
of Hydroponics in the School :
Growing
plants in water opens a whole new dimension for
children.
It
does not require soil. It allows the utilisation of unused
spaces.
It
allows to cultivate in reduced spaces, backyards, rooftops,
in urban areas.
It
allows the children to grow their own plants at home,
together with their families.
