Prisons 

Aim: To improve the living conditions in the prison population
         using the Hydroponics technique in order to:

   Improve their alimentation with self-grown fruits and
     vegetables.

   Contribute to improve life within the prison through the
     contact with nature.

   Use leisure time to develop positive activities within the
     prison, and to develop skills to work in the future.

   Promote the prisoner’s self-esteem through their personal 
    achievements.

AQUA FOOD provides the following services in this area:

    Study of the beneficiary population and of the living
     conditions in the prison.
    Project design.
    Implementation (training and follow-up)
    Evaluation.

It is necessary to put these projects into practise through State Organisms such as Ministries, Governments, etc.,  

Projects being implemented at present:

   Uruguay. (Women’s Prison, Montevideo City).
